In a bid to continue to establish crickets T20 format in Switzerland, the Swiss T20 Cup will again take place in 2012.The 4th edition of this popular competition will be held in Cossonay and Winterthur, from the 12th of May to the 16th of September, the Official opening taking place on the 13th May 2012, and the final to decide this year’s champions will be held on the 16th September.

This year the structure of the competition remains the same as previous years with 8 teams competing in two groups of 4 during a round-robin before the two top teams from each group move into the playoffs for the chance to play in the final.

Group A: Power Winterthur CC, Winterthur CC, Bern CC, Geneva RYCC

Group B: Olten CC, Nomads CC, Geneva XI stars, Cossonay CC

The Inauguration Game is on the 13th of May in Cossonay Cricket Club this is to offer people the chance to come down, watch and enjoy cricket in friendly environment. Please feel free to come down and show your support for T20 cricket in Switzerland.

We have this year organized two international trips for the Swiss T20 International team which will be known as Lloyds TSB Swiss T20 International team.

The first trip is planned for the 9th and 10th of June to Vienna in Austria where we will be playing their national team.

The 2nd and the most interesting tour are planned from the 25th to the 27th of August to the North West of England. The team will be playing on Saturday and participate in a tournament on Sunday and also play another match on Monday

Cricket is rapidly increasing in popularity across Switzerland, and large crowds are expected to gather for the forthcoming tournament. The matches are hosted on the weekends at Cossonay Cricket Club and Winterthur Cricket Club, starting on Saturday 12th May and finishing on Sunday 16th September.
